The short version: GradeKey doesn't collect your data.
Your assessments live on your device and in your own iCloud account. We can't
read them, we don't want to, and there's nothing for us to sell, share, or lose.
What the app handles, and where it goes
Your assessments (names, point values, grading scales,
folders) are stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData. If you're signed
in to iCloud, they sync through your own private iCloud (CloudKit)
database. Apple encrypts that data in transit and at rest, and it is
accessible only to your Apple Account โ not to us.
Exported files (PDF and CSV) are generated on your device
and handed to the iOS share sheet. You choose where they go. They are never
uploaded to us.
Purchases (GradeKey Pro) are processed entirely by Apple
through the App Store. We never see your payment details, and we receive no
personally identifying information from Apple.
What we don't do
No accounts. You never register, and you never give us an email address.
No analytics, telemetry, or tracking SDKs of any kind.
No advertising, and no data shared with or sold to third parties.
No server of ours ever receives your assessments or any usage data.
GradeKey makes no network requests other than Apple's own App Store and
iCloud services.
Children's privacy
GradeKey is a tool for educators and is rated 4+. Because the app collects no
data whatsoever, it collects nothing from children either.
Your control
You can delete any assessment inside the app at any time. Deleting the app
removes its local data from your device. To remove synced data, sign in to
iCloud settings on your device and manage or delete GradeKey's iCloud storage.
Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for you to request from us
and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
